We invite everyone to visit and share some of our work, the result of an inspiration of love and experience on the Way that we are walking together, from now until eternity.
Promised Land appeared in 2001, under the name of Rastafire band, which at first had in his set list classics covers of World Reggae. In 2006, with new name, began a new phase with emphasis on original work. Bringing a versatile musical concept, the group developed a feature, which is the rotation of the singers in the role of backing vocals and lead vocals, allowing diversification of styles and surprises the people. Our music brings our mixed cultural heritage. The various musical styles that make up the reggae mix with our Brazilian roots and give rise to our proposed work. In search of a universal communication, we bring in our songs compositions in English and Portuguese, which add to its content, message processing and reflection on relevant subjects.
Over the years on the road, the band Promised Land performed at various events, sharing the stage with bands like: The Gladiators (Jamaica), Dezarie (Virgin Islands), No Jazz (France), and brazillian artists like Tom Zé, Blitz, GOG, CPM 22, Armandinho, Edson Gomes, Red Meditation, Semente da Paz, MV Bill, among others. The band performed in other cities of Brazil, among them Goiânia, Pirenópolis, Chapada dos Veadeiros and Salvador. The band also participated in social activities in partnership with many brazillian social institutions.
In 2009, competing with over 300 subscribers, won 2 major awards at the Festival de Música Popular de Samambaia with the song "Nos Dias de Hoje", "Best arrangement" and 1st place overall, was consecrated as the winner of the band .
